Cleburne police reviews officer’s shooting incident
Cleburne Police Department has confirmed that it is reviewing an incident involving one of its officers fatally shooting a dog.
The incident occurred on August 10, when police responded to a 911 call from a woman who along with a baby and an elderly woman was trapped in the car as many pit bull dogs surrounded the vehicle in the 1500 block of Lindsey Street.

Texas registers 413,000 additional nonfarm jobs in 12 months
Texas generated more than 400,000 nonfarm jobs over the 12-month period ended September 30, according to new stats released by the Texas Workforce Commission on Friday.
The Texas Workforce Commission announced that the Texas economy generated 413,700 nonfarm jobs in 12 month through the end of September this year. The month of September alone added 36,400 nonfarm jobs. The hospitality sector generated 9,300 jobs; construction generated 5,400 jobs last month; while Mining and Logging, which includes the oil & gas sector, added 5,000 jobs during the month.

Arlington needs to focus on public safety, parks, schools and infrastructure, rather than on expensive streetcar and a gold-plated aquatic club, Arlington County Board’s Independent Member John Vihstadt said.
Vihstadt stressed on the need to focus on public safety and infrastructure during a debate with Alan Howze on 8th of October at the ever-civil Arlington Committee of 100.

Strachwitz has recorded regional music from across Texas as well as Louisiana and Mexico for more than five decades, after founding independent label Arhoolie Records in 1960. The independent label recorded and issued various forms of roots music, including blues, norteno and Cajun, from the U. S. and many other parts of the world.
Body found on bank of Trinity River believed to be of missing kayaker Tyler Smith
A jogger on Tuesday found a dead body on a bank of the Trinity River that police believe could be of kayaker Tyler Smith, who was reported missing on Sunday afternoon.
The jogger informed firefighters about the body at around 10:35 a.m. yesterday. The body was found in a remote area of the Trinity River, around 600 yards east of Fort Worth’s Gateway Park.
Authorities believe that the body could be of the missing kayaker. Firefighters and a team of divers had been searching for Smith since Monday morning.
Fort Worth City Council approves stricter regulations on game rooms
The City Council of Fort Worth on Tuesday approved new regulations on game rooms to curb illegal operations and address neighbors’ worries about crime and property values.
Neighborhoods had long been asking for stricter regulations on game rooms, arguing that their illegal operations cause crime, diminish quality of life and value of properties, as well as spread urban blight.
Tulsa-based Hilti to move its headquarters to Plano
Hilti North America, the producer and supplier of specialized tools for the construction industry, has confirmed that it will relocate its corporate headquarters to Texas.
The longtime Tulsa, Oklahoma-based manufacturer said that it would shift its corporate headquarters to Plano in Texas next year. The company praised Plano, saying it offers thriving business environment and a great place to live.
