Police investigators are probing the bomb hoax that forced evacuation of the University of Texas (UT) Health Science Center's dental school for a couple of hours on Friday.

Unidentified suspect/s wrote multiple threats, such as "Keep out u will die," on the wall of a bathroom and other locations using lipstick. The messages indicated there might be a bomb in the dental school.

Michael Parks, chief of University Police Department, said they started getting calls about the handwritten threats at around 4 p. m. on Friday from people concerned about the potential danger.

CRRMA authorized to use $39.9M from vehicle registration funds

The Commissioners Court of El Paso County authorized the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority (CRRMA) to use nearly $40 million from vehicle registration fee revenue bonds to fund two transportation projects.

CRRMA executive director Raymond Telles confirmed the development, and described the action as "another step" towards the development of the El Paso County 2013 Mobility Plan.

The top leader of Mexico’s Gulf Cartel has been arrested in Texas in an operation carried out by federal agents. The officials informed that Juan Francisco Saenz-Tamez, 23, of Camargo has been arrested in an shopping complex in Edinburg, Texas.

Saenz-Tamez has been charged under criminal conspiracy for drug trafficking, mainly cocaine and marijuana across the U.S.-Mexico border. The federal officials thanked the Mexican authorities for their cooperation in the arrest of drug kingpin.

A South Texas man accidentally shot and killed his younger brother last Sunday when he removed his handgun from the holster and it discharged, police officials said.

The 24-year-old man and his 16-year-old brother, whose names have not been released by authorities, were watching TV in a back apartment of their home in the 3800 block of Reynosa Street. The older brother was taking out his 9 mm pistol from the holster, when it unintentionally discharged striking the younger brother in the chest.

The headstone of Sgt. Stance has stood in Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Neb., for more than a century. The site is nearly 1,400 miles from Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
