Samsung tops list of smartphone vendors in US in terms of customer satisfaction
According to the latest statistics released by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index, Samsung is the top-ranking smartphone vendors in the US in terms of customer satisfaction; marginally ahead of Apple.
The American Consumer Satisfaction Index, which conducts a survey on 70,000 respondents every year, has revealed that Samsung has topped the list of smartphone vendors in the US with a customer satisfaction index of 81. In a close second spot is Apple, with a customer satisfaction index of 79.
Topping the smartphone vendors in terms of customer satisfaction will definitely give Samsung some so-called bragging rights, especially after recent reports of Apple having outshined Samsung in terms of number of units sold during the 2014 holiday shopping season.
The statistics released by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index imply that smartphone users were more satisfied with Samsung, for having delivered more useful features on its new flagship handset - the Galaxy S5 - as compared to Apple. Among the most noteworthy features that Samsung introduced in the Galaxy S5 handset included a water-resistant case and stunningly crisp cameras on the Android platform.
Meanwhile, Apple seemingly disappointed some of the consumers with its move to launch bigger-screen iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets. The new iPhones are somewhat difficult to handle for consumers who are well-acquainted with the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5S.
