Soyuz Lander Reaches Baikonur, Kazakhstan

A rocket that will be carrying the first British astronaut to the International Space Station (ISS) has finally arrived at the launch pad in Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The Souyuz lander rolled out on a flat-bed transporter for a 2km train journey to reach its launch site.

It took almost two hours for the train to take the rocket to the launch pad, known as Site No 1. Mr. Peake during his mission to the space station will be accompanied by American Tim Kopra and Russian Yuri Malenchenko.

The bill is nearly 7,250 words long, but is quite smaller than the usual appropriations bill or defense authorization bill.

The bill’s last four ‘titles’ are less than 500 words. This part of the bill is known as ‘Space Resource Exploration and Utilization’. This is the portion of the bill that has received the highest attention in the past several weeks.

A three-member crew, wedged elbow to elbow in a capsule, has safely returned from the International Space Station (ISS) after a five-month mission. The tiny Soyuz capsule carrying the astronauts softly landed on earth on Friday night.

The land location was in the northeast of Dzhezkazgan town in Kazakhstan. The three astronauts who came back to earth are: NASA’s Kjell Lindgren, JAXA’s Kimiya Yui andRussian Federation Space Agency’s Oleg Kononenko. It was the first time when a crewed-capsule returned from the space station after sunset.
