Amid E. coli outbreak, Chipotle Withdraws Its 2016 Comp Guidance

Chipotle Mexican Grill after being badly hit by E. coli outbreak has presented bleak Q4 earnings. The company even withdrew its 2016 comp guidance after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said new cases of E. coli infections have been linked to the restaurant.

Chipotle in a statement said on Friday, “They have taken aggressive actions to implement industry-leading food safety and food handling practices in all of its restaurants and throughout its supply chain”.

Drug developer Advaxis Inc’s shares up as much as 38%

On Wednesday, drug developer Advaxis Inc said that the US Food and Drug Administration had lifted a clinical ban on its three experimental cancer therapies. The move has sent the shares of the company up by as much as 38%.

In October, the US health regulator had put the mid-stage trials of the lead therapy of the company, axalimogene filolisbac, on hold following the death of a patient.

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against the makers of the hair-care line WEN. The case filed by over 200 women from 40 different states has alleged that the products have made them bald and in some cases rashes.

The case has been filed against hairstylist Chaz Dean and direct marketing company Guthy-Renker, marketing head of the product in the in California Federal Court. It is not the first lawsuit against WEN, as many such have been filed in recent years. This particular case has attracted the attention owing to its size of scope.

NASA said its astronomers have detected powerful gamma rays in the universe. A flare of gamma rays that the astronomers have spotted is generated by a galaxy halfway across the universe, the space agency reported.

When many high energy gamma rays slammed the earth’s atmosphere, large amount of light is produced. It is the first time when astronomers have spotted such powerful high energy light coming from a faraway galaxy. NASA believes the new observations may allow astronomers look into that distant galaxy, known as PKS 1441+25, and the black hole present in its center.

Enceladus the tiny moon spoon and the big spoon Tethys seems to be lining up almost perfectly just over the distinctive rings of Saturn from the perspective of Cassini spacecraft exploring the ringed planet in September 2015.

NASA said that the picture was taken by Cassini when the craft was nearly 1.3 million miles from Enceladus and at a distance of 1.6 million miles from Tethys. Tethys and Enceladus are the two most fascinating and mysterious moons of the Saturn.
